EC Manning Park protects over 70,000 hectares of diversified terrain varying from the towering cedar rainforest of Sumallo Grove to the rare 2000+ year old Subalpine Larch forest on Mount Frosty. The park contains a large number of scenic, historic, floral and fauna attractions and provides a wide range of both summer and winter recreational opportunities. 355 campsites at four popular campgrounds. Lightning Lakes (143 sites), Coldspring (66 sites), Hampton (100 sites) and Mule Deer (50 sites). Wilderness camping, areas are available with a total of 55 sites.
Front Country Campground - Headwater Horse Corral. 12 sites available on first come, first serve basis. Horse campsite, corrals and hitch posts. River and trail access to Loon Lagoon Rec Centre.
In winter, the Alpine and Nordic areas have a great progression for all levels, and we see consistently great conditions, due to a higher elevation and by virtue of being slightly more inland than the Coastal Mountains.
